My work with Dense Breasts Canada began with designing social media graphics for Facebook and Instagram. The brand was already well established, and so I took on the task of creating bright and beautiful imagery that would  inspire hope and courage for Canadian women.  

In 2021 my involvement with DBC as Creative Graphic Designer evolved to include Social Media Coordinator and Administration.

After a very successful Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign in October 2023, DBC refreshed its brand with updated colors. Breast cancer awareness month is oversaturated with the color pink: pink ribbons, pink colored t-shirts, pink-washing all over.

 

DBC wants their messaging to be heard, so with the exception of the logo, the brand moved forward with more modern pantones. The entire face of social media, as well as the website, were redesigned with Teal and Light Gold.

In fall 2021, I was part of the exciting expansion of Dense Breasts Canada to a sister Non-profit Organization called Mybreastscreening.ca.  Founded to educate, and empower Canadian women as they make the best possible choices for their breast health.

The brand was designed to have a more professional and medical look and feel. In a collaborative environment I conceptualized and implemented visually captivating designs communicate 3 key messages for our target audience - women between the ages of 40 to 74. MBS has become a community for women to get the most accurate and up-to-date information they need for their breast health.
